Proper stretching is one of the most important factors of any professional carpet installation. We use a power-stretcher, which is a mechanical device that allows for a much tighter fit than the more commonly used knee-kicker alone. The benefit will be noticed for years as the carpet becomes much more resistant to wrinkling and buckling.

Maintenance
Day to day care requires very little effort. You'll want to vacuum as necessary with a device that has been tested and approved by the Carpet and Rug Institute. Secondly, attend to spots and spills quickly to make the cleaning effort as painless as possible. In general, it's not a good idea to use a harsh product like bleach. Some carpet fibers can be damaged by bleach and the latex backing can be affected.
With any residential carpet, the best gift you can give yourself is to have it professionally cleaned with a hot water extraction process (commonly known as "steam cleaning"). This kind of cleaning is so beneficial to prolonging the life and beauty of your investment that nearly all carpet warranties rely on it being professionally cleaned at least once every 18 or 24 months².
